The West Virginia Baptist Convention has as its mission to empower local churches to be Christ honoring communities of faith and to help them fulfill their mission by enabling them to do together what they cannot do alone.

As an extension of the mission of the Convention, Baptist Campus Ministry has the following mission:

The mission of the Baptist Campus Ministry is to enable WVBC churches to engage in ministry on college campuses in West Virginia. We seek to carry out this mission on as many campuses and reaching as many students as possible by:

* Sharing the gospel with students with the intention of helping them come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

* Providing opportunities for Bible study, worship, prayer, and small group relationships to enhance the growth of students as disciples of Jesus Christ.
* Providing opportunities for Christ service.
* Creating an atmosphere so that students can live out their faith in a wholesome Christian environment.
* Encouraging student participation in a local body of believers during their college years and beyond.
