The Youth Ministry Planning Team (YMPT) is now accepting nominations for the 2024-2025 term!
YMPT is in charge of planning statewide youth events for the WVBC: Fall Rally, Junior High Convention, Senior High Convention, and Summer Kickoff. It’s a great opportunity for hands-on ministry experience, mentorship, and growth as both a leader and as a follower of Jesus.
YMPT nominees should meet the following criteria:
- Current sophomore or junior in high school
- Member of a WVBC church
- Willing to make the commitment of eight weekend meetings. Their attendance is required at the Summer Kickoff, a summer meeting, Fall Rally, Junior High Convention, Senior High Convention, and a Christmas break meeting. (Other meetings will be discussed and assigned at a later date)
- Committed Christian who strives daily to live for Christ
Pastors, youth pastors, and youth leaders, nominate your youth now! Each church may nominate two youth for the Youth Ministry Planning Team.
Interviews will be held April 1st. Location will be announced soon. Please discuss this with your
nominee. Once a nomination is received, the nominee will receive a questionnaire and a detailed list of
YMPT responsibilities.
To nominate a student:
- Have nominee fill out the Nomination Form
- Mail the completed form to YMPT, PO Box 1019, Parkersburg, WV 26102
